Lorton Data was founded in 1989 by Tony and Lori Evans to provide data management and mail list processing services to the direct marketing industry. In the twenty years since, the company has experienced steady growth, while building a reputation for quality service.
Today, Lorton Data offers a full range of data quality services and products that increase the effectiveness and reduce the cost of direct marketing, fund raising, and other communication efforts. Lorton Data serves companies nationwide, across all industries, including direct marketing firms, letter shops and printers, non-profit organizations, government agencies and educational institutions.
Lorton Data’s services and products include Full Service NCOALink®, DSF2®, Merge/Purge, Suppression Services, Geo-Coding, Postal Presort, Intelligent Mail® barcodes, mailing lists and more. Records are easily transmitted through A-Qua Mailer™, Lorton Data’s suite of on-demand direct mail services.
Customers use Lorton Data as a resource for assistance when it’s needed most –as demand exceeds capacity, unexpected staff shortages arise, extended expertise is required for special projects, or simply, when capabilities are needed.

Tony, Lori and other partners start lettershop business named Data Mail. Plans were that Lorton Data and Data Mail would be completely separate companies, but would work closely together to provide clients a one-stop-shop experience. Tony writes and updates own presort programs. |

Lorton Data ventures into laser letters using table top Kyocera laser printers running at speeds of about 6 sheets per minute, simplex printing. Also moved into laser printed labels and inkjet output. Lorton Data purchases Postalsoft CASS™ and Presort programs to increase efficiency. |

| 2009 | Feb | Lorton Data hires Ray Davey as President. Ray's charter is to develop a comprehensive business strategy, take the company into new markets, and provide operational leadership. |

By adding a robust list acquisition component to its data quality and management services Lorton Data significantly enhanced its ability to help customers from the very beginning stages of direct marketing campaigns through the final steps of performance analytics. | |
