Standard Output 500
Each output record contains five data areas:

1. Original Input Data - Original information received for processing.
2. Standardized Input Data - Address in a standardized format. Includes the newly applied ZIP + 4^® Code, modified address, city, state and ZIP Code™ information.
3. Change of Address and/or LACS^Link™ Information - New address data if a match is obtained in the NCOA^{Link ®} process. LACS^Link is only available with NCOA^Link Full Service -- 48 month processing.
4. Nixie Elimination (NES) Footnotes - NES footnotes were officially discontinued with the move from NCOA to NCOA^Link™. To support systems that still rely on NES codes, we continue to generate them; however, we encourage you to use NCOA^Link return codes (page 4 of the PDF) in place of NES footnotes when possible. This information explains why records that are probable moves did not match closely enough to meet Postal Service™ requirements for providing new address information.
5. DPV™ Data - Indicates if input address is a valid USPS^® delivery point and identifies CMRAs.

Optional Output Format "C"
Each output record contains three data areas:

1. Processed Input Data - Each record will have one of the following:
• New address data - If a match is obtained in the NCOA^Link or LACS^Link process
• Standardized address data - Standardized original address if no new address is found
• Original address data - If a record is not ZIP + 4 coded and no new address is found you will receive your input data unaltered
2. Nixie Elimination (NES) Footnotes  - Information that explains why records that are probable moves did not match closely enough to meet Postal Service requirements for providing new address information.
3. Change of Address Footnotes and DPV Data - Explains the NCOA^Link match if applicable and provides information regarding the validity of your address data.

• For lists with a record length greater than 200 characters, the original input data will be padded to the next higher multiple of 100. All subsequent fields will be moved accordingly.
