*The DSF2 Grouping Code assignment is a proprietary logic developed by Donnelley Marketing, Inc.

DSF2 Delivery Type

The Delivery Type Code categorizes (i.e. residential, business, etc.) and describes the type of delivery services associated with the address.

A | B | C | D | E | F | G | H | I | J | K | L | M | |N | O | P | Q | X

A = Residential Curb - a residential delivery with a mail receptacle at the curb.

B = Residential NDCBU - a residential delivery point that is serviced by cluster boxes, also known as Neighborhood Delivery and Collection Box Units (NDCBU).

C = Residential Central - a residential delivery within a building that has two or more ZIP + 4® codes assigned to a bank of boxes or floors.

D = Residential Other - A residential delivery point serviced by something other than Curb, NDCBU, PO Box or NPU. Examples of this type of delivery include door-to-door and door-slot delivery.

E = Residential Facility Box - A PO Box for a residential customer who is located in a postal facility.

F = Residential Contract Box - A PO Box for a residential customer who is located in a contract unit.

G = Residential Detached Box - A mail box for a residential customer who is not located in a Post Office™ or contract unit.

H = Residential Non-Personnel Unit - A residential delivery point serviced by a self-service postal center which furnishes delivery and collection of mail services. Mail is delivered to mail boxes similar to PO Boxes.

I = Business Curb - a business delivery with a mail receptacle at the curb.

J = Business NDCBU - a business delivery point that is serviced by cluster boxes, also known as Neighborhood Delivery and Collection Box Units (NDCBU).

K = Business Central - a business delivery within a building that has two or more ZIP + 4 codes assigned to a bank of boxes or floors.

This field will be blank unless the DSF2 Grouping Job Option is requested for DSF2 processing. The DSF2 Grouping Job option is Donnelley Marketing Inc.'s proprietary logic that provides a deliverability scoring to all records on the file. This deliverability code will help mailers identify problem addresses on a file.

    1 = Potentially Undeliverable
    2 = Questionable
    3 = Changed, Good Deliverable
    4 = Good Deliverable
